I have driven by this shopping center about a hundred times and never knew that it was such a magical place. You can see it from North Central Expressway aka 75 but you would never know all the fun things that are hidden inside. The Hill came to be by recycling the buildings that were already in the area and turning them into a walkable sequence of first-to-market or proprietor driven shops and restaurants. The creators of The Hill turned it into an eco-friendly area with a focus on conservation for a first of its kind in Dallas. You can tell by the repurposed shipping containers they incorporated into the architecture, the giant oak tree in heart of the area, and the varying landscaping.

Exploring The Hill
The shopping center has a variety of restaurants, shops, salons & spas, boutique workout centers, and pet grooming. One of those shops is an interactive play store for kids, Camp. Camp is a creative and unique experience for kids and families. They have different themes through out the year that involve interactive play. Most importantly, Camp is also a toy store that has everything a kid needs.
Restaurants
I first tried out Snooze A.M. Eatery when I was visiting friends in Austin a few years ago. They only use responsibly sourced ingredients and only want to have a positive impact on people and the planet. They're food is delicious and every location I've come across is always packed so plan to wait a while to get a table. Civil Pour is a great coffee spot that also offers pastries and paninis. Luna Grill is a well known restaurant that offers traditional Mediterranean food. Hat Creek Burger Company is a delicious burger joint with a jungle gym outside for kids. Tacodeli is a laid back taco place that serves over 40 different tacos and all your favorite Tex-Mex sides. Houndstooth Coffee is a solar paneled coffee shop from Austin. They serve pastries, breakfast tacos, coffee, and tea.
