The Power Of Love Mural

This HUGE mural is just exploding with love and color! Not only is this mural 60 feet tall/9,600 square feet but it is just beautiful! From the flowers, to the colors, the movement, and to the typography there is something for everyone in the mural! Although this mural is boldly colorful there is something peaceful about it. It's hard to miss if you are heading down N Houston St towards Ross Ave and Dealey Plaza. It is on the side of The Luminary office space. It's facing a giant public parking lot and Woodall Rodgers Freeway (Spur 366) in historic West End of Downtown Dallas. I would definitely avoid going here during the work week since it is facing a parking area. This picture was taken on a Sunday afternoon with only a few cars in the lot and luckily they were all far away from mural.

Artist(s): Pretty Much Yeah is a collaboration between Bradford Mayfield (website: Estudio Bradlio instagram: @bradillo1) and Saeka (instagram: @Saekart). Bradford has an impressive mural and artwork resumé just take a look at his website! Saeka is a former landscape ecologist and rs scientist which shows through her artwork. They both have murals sprinkled around Texas. (instagram: @prettymuchyeah.art)

Deep Ellum

I Love you! Mural

No doubt one of the most popular murals in Deep Ellum! I Love you! is located on the side of Bucky Moonshine's facing their parking lot. You can see the mural from N Malcolm X Blvd in between Elm and Main St. If you don't go during off hours in Deep Ellum you'll get a picture filled with cars blocking half the mural.

Artist(s): Dusty Gilpin is from Oklahoma and a third generation illustrator/commercial artist. His murals are heavily influenced "by typography, outdoors, cartoons, and graffiti". (website: OkieDust instagram: @okiedust)

Uptown

Located on the back of The Standard Pour in Uptown facing the parking lot behind the restaurant. The Standard Pour is located at the intersection of McKinney Ave and Allen St, you can access the parking lot from Allen St. If you've googled or visited Dallas you know this bridge has become a famous part of the city's skyline. The Margaret Hunt Hill bridge has become an icon over the last decade taking you over the Trinity River.

I've Always Loved You... Mural

I've Always Loved You Mural

Cue Whitney Houstons: I will Always Love You! This love mural is located in middle of the West Village Shopping Center painted on the back of one of the buildings. You'll find the mural located next to several other murals behind the shops: Kittenish, Face Haus, MKT, and Allen Edmonds facing the main parking garage and Center Dr in between Newman and Thompson St. It's facing parking spots so taking a picture can be tricky if you're there while the shops are open.

Artist(s): Captain Casual is a Dallas based artist who has murals scattered through out Dallas and Miami, FL. After flatlining for 12 seconds back in 2015 his life perspective changed and he started to focus on what made him happiest; painting. No, I love you so Mutts! This adorable mural is located at Mutts Cantina which is an outdoor dog park with a concession style restaurant in Uptown. The perfect spot for you to take your precious furry valentine and grab some casual food and beer! Located on the corner of Oak Grove Ave and W Cityplace Blvd the mural is facing Howell St. If you hear tons of dogs barking and playing your going in the right direction. Te Amo & Besos Papí are a part of Coco's Fire and Ice, a festive Mexican eatery. They are on the side of the building in an alleyway, you can't miss Besos Papí because it is closest to N Bishop Ave and underneath string lights and bright teal tarps. While Te Amo Papí is further down the alleyway at the back of the restaurant where they have outdoor seating. +=❤️ Mural

+=heart mural

My all time favorite mural and by far the most well known in Bishop Arts. Perfect for you and your boo or you and your BFF. My husband and I did our one year wedding anniversary pictures in Bishop Arts and this was the first one we took pictures with! + = ❤️ is facing W Seventh St towards a tiny parking lot that is only for Ten Bells Tavern. The mural is in between N Madison Ave and N Zang Blvd. If you don't want cars in your picture I highly suggest going in the morning or early afternoon during the week (like the bottom picture). So if you go during the weekend you will want to get there in the morning before the brunch crowd. There is street parking near the mural or you can park in the bigger lot for Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. and Oddfellows.

It's Cool To Be Kind Mural

Its Cool To Be Kind Mural

On the side Picolé Popsicles (along with a ton of other photo ops). You can find Picolé on W Davis St in between N Bishop Ave and Haines Ave. It is across the street from Lockhart Smokehouse BBQ and next to a shopping center that is home to the 24/7 restaurant, Cafe Brazil. There is a parking lot for Picolé next to Haines Ave. So get your super cool Valentine popsicle and take a picture with it!

Salty Loves Texas Mural

Salty Loves Dallas Mural

To say I'm obsessed with this piece is a gross understatement. The bright bold colors gets me every time! This sweet mural is on the side of The Darling Co. which is a one stop place for the stylish bride. The building is located off E Polk St but the mural faces a little alleyway in between S Texas and S Mckinney St. The mural is easy to spot as you are heading away from Stemmons Freeway (aka Highway 75). It is a white building with bright colors with nothing blocking it from the road. The parking is limited for The Darling Co. but there is a bigger parking lot at the building next door. These pictures were taken on a Sunday afternoon when both places were closed so there was plenty of parking.

Artist(s): Jeff Rogers who is a typographer, graphic designer, and illustrator painted the words "The Salty Loves". After years of working in advertising in New York and Dallas he opened a studio in Brooklyn 2011. In 2018 he moved to Dallas and opened a studio in Oak Cliff. (website: howdyjeff instagram: @frogers) Alli Koch created the state of TX with all the baking goods. She lives in Dallas and enjoys: chick-fil-a, her jeep, coke Slurpees from 7-11, and buying plants. She always doodled and never imagined her little doodles would turn into giant murals. "Little paper signs have turned into giant murals, flower doodles turned into best-selling published books and hanging with friends turned into recording a podcast." Heart Lock Sculpture

This sculpture is outside of a little building that is surrounded by Paradiso and Botanist cocktail bar. Triple D 💗 Mural

Triple D Mural

This fun mural is on the back wall of Davis Street Mercantile facing W Seventh St in between N Van Buren Ave and Vernon Ave. If you hang out around Dallas long enough you'll start to see the triple D logo on street signs and buildings. The triple D is an old city logo Dallas used in the 1980s and 1990s. These triple Ds have fun multi-colored hearts inside them while the original logo had what looked like a torch or tree in the middle. You can park at Davis Street Mercantile if you plan on stopping in the store. If you don't want to stop in the store you can park on W Seventh street behind Davis Street Mercantile.

All You Need Is Love & Tacos Mural

All You Need Is Love And Tacos

If you love tacos and you want them to be your Valentine this is the mural for you! You can't miss this bright mural located at the intersection of Irving Blvd and Turtle Creek Blvd. It's a good thing they have a huge parking lot since it's always crowded when I drive by. Tacos, Bites & Beats backs up to the Trinity Strand Trail which is a huge biking and walking trail that goes along the Trinity River. Stop by pick up a delicious taco and take some fun pictures.

Love Conquers All Mural

Love Conquers All Mural

If you want the perfect heart or Valentine's Day mural this is it! Its big enough to get a close up of just you and the hearts or go ahead and take a picture with the whole thing! This mural is one of my all times favorites I've come across in Dallas. The bright colors and 💜s have me feeling 😍. It's on the back of a building complex that houses several different companies. If you're focused on driving & GPSing you will miss getting a glimpse of it from Irving Blvd which gives you a general idea of where they are. Which happened to me, so when I couldn't find this mural I got super frustrated. Technically it is off Manufacturing St BUT the mural is facing the Trinity Strand Trail so when you park at the building complex you will not see them. You need to park near the Trinity Strand Trail and walk behind the building and you'll see it when you round the corner of the building.

Artist(s): James Goldcrown (with a name like that he had to become famous) spent his early days by creating street art around London. After leaving school, he started working at 17 at the South London Darkroom leading to his career as a fashion photographer. After doing that for several years he left the fashion industry to create a film about the Aids/HIV epidemic. "In 2007 James moved to New York and re-entered the fashion world. He began incorporating mixed media into his photography influenced by his previous days as a street artist in the early 90's. His many projects led to his first show at Miami Basel, where his work sold out in 2 hours. Now internationally renowned for his Bleeding Hearts/Lovewall murals, he has collaborated with brands and companies such as, Toms, L'Oreal, Rag & Bone, Sephora, Island Records, Universal, MTV, Vogue, Bandier, Rimowa Luggage, Henri Bendel, Armarni and more." He has artwork scattered around the world and the Design District is lucky enough to have a mural! (website: JGoldcrown instagram: @jgoldcrownart & @jgoldcrown)

Love Dallas Texas Mural

Love Dallas Texas Mural

This might be my favorite mural in the design district! I love the fact you can go to the string and act as if your holding the balloon! Speaking of the balloon, it blows my mind how realistic it looks and how it contrasts perfectly against the cobalt blue Texas. If it was me posing for a cute Valentines Day picture, I would go to the store, get a ton of balloons similar to the painted one. So you have a ton of love surrounding you! This is apart of DDPlayground developed by Ewing Properties to help attract people to the Design District. This particular mural is facing N Riverfront Blvd in between Howell and Pittsburg St. There are a few parking spots on Howell St specifically for the DDPlayground.

Artist(s): The typography and Texas were created by Chad (instagram: @gooodtimecharlie) and Lesli Marshall (instagram: @lm_artndesign). Murals aren't the only thing they collab on, they co-own LTX Mercantile located in downtown Llano, TX. Lesli has murals and art sprinkled through out the US and is owner of Articulation Art (instagram: @articulationart). Lesli is a huge of Jeremy Biggers so she brought him on to create the mylar balloon. Jeremy is a jack of all trades when it comes to fine arts. He is an artist, filmmaker, designer, and photographer based in Dallas. "Dubbed 'Dallas' Hardest Working Multi-Hyphenate' by D Magazine, from drawing to painting to graphic design to photography to film making, Jeremy Biggers has been involved with image making his entire life." Love, love love, this bright and boldly colored mural - these kind of murals get me every time! This sweet mural is on the side of The Darling Co. which is a one stop place for the stylish bride. The building is located off E Polk St but the mural faces a little alleyway in between S Texas and S Mckinney St. The mural is easy to spot as you are heading away from Central Expressway (aka Highway 75). It is a white building with bright colors with nothing blocking it from the road. The parking is limited for The Darling Co. but there is a bigger parking lot at the building next door. These pictures were taken on a Sunday afternoon when both places were closed so there was plenty of parking.

Artist(s): Rasheal Winters who left the corporate world after 15 years started creating artwork and murals full time in 2020. Of course, she had always dabbled with creating artwork in her spare time but when she was going through a particularly hard time painting found her! Fun fact: she is actually from Richardson and different local establishments have started to recognize her artistic ability. So don't be surprised if you start to see her bright murals popping up everywhere in Richardson. (website: Created Art Co. instagram: @created_art_co)

When you're done with the two murals above buzz on over to see this colorful mural for Lizzie Bee's floral shop. It's right across 75 from the previous two murals. These bright florals are facing Custer Rd on the side of the shopping center. The shopping center is located off of Lockwood Dr in between Inge Dr and Custer Rd. It technically isn't next to Lizzie Bee's but on the outer part of the shopping center. It is on the side of Lockwood Distilling Company facing part of their parking lot. Hint: you should be able to see the water tower behind the mural. If you can't see it go to the other side of the shopping center. Make sure to get there before Lockwood Distilling Company opens or you'll have to take pictures with the mural at a weird camera angle because cars will be in the way. There is plenty of parking during non restaurant rush hours.
